Recommended Yoga Class

I am sincere in saying that I sure hope you’re not suffering with the same heartburn I endured in my 3rd trimester! It was so rough! It’s not like regular heartburn. Did you know that the hormone, relaxin, in our body during can cause ALL sphincters to relax, including the esophageal sphincter? So it’s not just our hip joints and ligaments that are loosening up for birth, this hormone is causing change all over the place! The relaxing of this sphincter means stomach acid coming back up the esophagus. As baby grows, she can also be pushing everything upward as she takes up more space in the abdominal cavity. Hopefully this class brings you a little relief, if you are fated to this dreaded prenatal heartburn as I was! (I also recommend papaya enzymes!) I did a lot of practices like this one in my 3rd trimester to just rest and breathe and allow my digestive system to chill out for a bit. We will create space for the digestive system to rest and do what it’s supposed to do – which is not keep us up at night! =P

*I am constantly updating recommended classes as I add more yoga classes to my YouTube library! Check back often for updates!

**Every body, woman, practice, and pregnancy is different. If the suggested class for this week does not suit you this week for any reason, please feel free to look for a different one on my YouTube channel. Trust your body and listen to your birth team!

Journal Prompts

Now is the time to listen to and communicate with your inner self. Sit quietly with yourself for 5 minute. Then write…what has been left unsaid so far in your pregnancy? What do you need to communicate to your partner? Your birth team? To your baby?

Please feel free to share your responses below, so we can all help each other on this journey!
