Weekly Pregnancy/Baby Update
Baby’s brain continues to grow at an epic pace, with all of their connections between neurons beginning to take place.
Yoga Posture
Hand to Toe Pose – Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana (side)
Continue the UHP posture, by opening the hip out to the side. This opens the hip, strengthens the legs and glutes, and again, works your balance.

Recommended Yoga Class
I hope you are feeling so good today. You are creating life – what a miracle! You are doing so much hard work, and if no one has told you lately – you’re doing a great job! This class is made for the 3rd trimester (but is suitable for any trimester) to open the hips. Our bodies begin to naturally open up, our hips getting wider during pregnancy and our joints loosening. The hormone, relaxin, helps to open and release our tendons and ligaments, especially in the hip region to allow the baby to pass smoothly through the pelvis. We can help this process along by paying attention to our muscles in the area, by strengthening and stretching, and getting ready for birth. This prenatal yoga class for hips will also help alleviate any pain or pressure you might be feeling. So come on in, jump on your mat, and let’s breathe into our hips together!
*I am constantly updating recommended classes as I add more yoga classes to my YouTube library! Check back often for updates!
**Every body, woman, practice, and pregnancy is different. If the suggested class for this week does not suit you this week for any reason, please feel free to look for a different one on my YouTube channel. Trust your body and listen to your birth team!
Journal Prompts
Take this week to inventory where you still need growth. Do you have limiting beliefs around birth? Are you grasping onto control? Do you have any negative self-talk to release?
Please feel free to share your responses below, so we can all help each other on this journey!
